In cooperation with the Comboni Missionaries, World Doctors support a center for the disabled. Here, people with physical or mental disabilities, the visually impaired and children with hearing and speech impairments find a loving place where they are given the chance of an education and are well looked after. Workshops for handicrafts and music have been set up. Without training or education, these children have no chance - they have no choice but to earn a living by begging on the streets. The project is located near the coast in La Union in the north of Peru and is run by Ms. Juan Goicochea. Our association co-financed urgently needed renovation work on the building and the construction of a playground.

We support part of the running costs of the home with a fixed annual contribution.
