Dr. Josef Röd Secondary School, Brunico/Bruneck charity run

20.06.2023

On 26 May, the Dr. Josef Röd secondary school in Bruneck organized a charity run in aid of the World Doctors association. Over 400 pupils took part and in the end, an incredible 21,389.60 euros were raised. Manuela Mölgg, Werner Heel and Gert Crepaz also took part in the run.

This sum will be used for the construction of the "Abba Pascal High School" in Soddo, Ethiopia. A large school center with 14 classrooms, 4 laboratories, a library, an administration building and an auditorium magna is being built there with the help of the Autonomous Region of Trentino Alto Adige and the South Tyrolean population. The project is being implemented in 4 phases, 2 of which have already been realized, 2 still have to be built.

World Doctors would like to thank the organizer of this charity run, Paul Stauder and his entire team, as well as all the pupils who put on their running shoes for a good cause and ran 4,262 laps. A big thank you also to all the sponsors who took part in this campaign.

The two doctors and members of the association, Dieter Randeu and Monika Niederkofler from Bruneck, presented the project at the school back in April and thus pressed the start button for this great initiative.
