For our new annual calendar, we have chosen gratitude as the central theme. It is especially important to us to convey the deep gratitude of those in need—people we have been able to help—to the many donors and supporters who made this assistance possible.
We give a voice to individuals whose living conditions have been slightly improved thanks to help from South Tyrol.
The proceeds from the sale of this calendar will support a women’s project for 80 women in Dakuna, Ethiopia. The project is run by two Kenyan sisters and focuses on traditional handicrafts: in four groups, the women first learn to make baskets, sleeping mats, and shopping bags. Afterwards, they receive small start-up assistance to sell their products at local markets. They also learn how to manage a bank account and save a little money.
